I translate from Russian to English with a focus on journalism, memoir and creative nonfiction. I have a BA in Russian from the University of Victoria and an MA in Slavic languages and literatures from the University of Toronto and am working toward a graduate certificate in translation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, to be completed in 2026.
I’ve translated a number of articles for Russian Life magazine, covering topics from the housing crisis in Arkhangelsk to a Siberian school with just one pupil and, most recently, efforts in Yakutia to ban alcohol. My translation of Ludmila Ulitskaya’s story “Fabric Scraps” (“Лоскуток”) appears in the April 2026 issue of Asymptote, and I have several other works currently out seeking homes.
